New Ecommerce Website
We are pleased to announce the creation of a new bespoke website for Trevanion & Dean.
The newest website was built directly on a WordPress platform. This latest platform will ensure that it’s easier to receive news, updates and improvements to online galleries regarding lots for sale.
Trevanion and Dean are auctioneers located in Whitchurch on the border of Cheshire and Shropshire. The company holds regular auctions in fine arts, antiques and collectables. There are weekly valuation days as well as online solutions for bidding available as well.
New Website Features
Customers will also be able to pay their invoices online via the website. As an exciting new feature with the WordPress update, online payments will get easier than ever before. We have included a Worldpay payment gateway for online transactions. This makes it simple for customers to pay their invoices online. By allowing customers to pay their invoices online, the customer experience is streamlined and the staff have to take fewer payments over the phone.
The homepage is also receiving a major design upgrade so that navigation can be improved on the site. Throughout the newest features of blog posts, featured news and updated content it will be easier to check out all of the latest updates as well as find the content that you want to seek out most of all. Customers should have a much easier time with viewing the website as well as getting to the content that they are most interested in.
On the website you can find a fully responsive and mobile friendly layout. This ensures that users can easily access all of the content on their tablet or smart phone devices. With the integration of mobile friendly video content, mobile friendly newsletters and more, the hope is that the site can appeal to a wider audience over time.
The fully manageable and customisable image slider makes viewing lots and checking out images from each auction very simple. Using the image slider it’s possible to go through multiple images at once or get detailed views of various items from multiple angles. Images from any new news posts or auctions automatically filter through to the home page slider, meaning the site stays refreshed automatically as the client adds new content to their website.
Our Philosophy & Approach
The main reason that we undertook a major redesign was to create a mobile first design philosophy with the latest version of the website. Trevanion and Dean is interested in appealing to the mobile web as up to 80% of search traffic is coming from mobile devices these days.
We wanted to improve overall user experience and make sure that using the website itself would be an intuitive experience. We also worked to integrate better search terms and speed improvements for the page to maximise search engine visibility. We want to ensure that our clients customers can easily find them on search engines.
